The Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FRCA UK) is the main postgraduate exam for anaesthetists. International doctors must apply for a UK Visitor Visa to sit the FRCA exam in the UK.
A Visitor Visa is required to sit the Primary or Final FRCA exams or to attend revision workshops.
Applications are usually processed within 3 weeks.
UK Visitor Visa applications for FRCA are sometimes refused when the ECO is not satisfied that the applicant is a genuine visitor, or when supporting evidence such as exam booking or financial proof is missing.
Where appeal and AR rights are not available, a PAP may be served, and if needed, escalated to a JR.
At UK Visa Consultants, we prepare robust applications for FRCA exam candidates and have successfully challenged many refusals through PAP and JR.
